The Importance of Avoiding Heavy Metals

There are several possible ways that heavy metals can absorbed into your body;

1) Amalgam Dental Fillings which are also known as "black fillings" – which is highly dangerous as amalgam contains mercury, cadmium and lead. These highly toxic metals have been used as dental fillings for many years and should be replaced with newer material such as "composite" fillings. Most dentists can replace these fillings but a biological dentist is more suitable to do the replacement.

2) Water Pipes - Yes, metal water pipes deliver some amount of heavy metals into our body, copper normally occurs in drinking water from copper pipes and it is recommended to use the Reverse Osmosis system for the drinking water and also to cook with. Use shower filters to reduce the heavy metals exposure to a minimum.

3) Corn Syrup - In some past cases mercury was found in commercial corn syrup that have been manufactured by a specific process that is no longer being used by some manufacturers.
Did you know that high fructose corn syrup has replaced sugar as the sweetener in many beverages and foods?  In several studies researchers have found detectable levels of mercury in some food samples made with commercial HFCS. The use of mercury-contaminated caustic soda in the production of HFCS is common. The contamination occurs when mercury cells are used to produce caustic soda.
The current market regulations don’t force manufacturers to mark food products which contain HFCS made from ingredients like caustic soda contaminated with mercury. Therefore, the average consumer cannot know whether or not their soda or snack food is free from mercury. The good news is that mercury-free HFCS ingredients do exist; however, food companies just need a good push to only use those ingredients.

4) Canned Foods - Some canned foods contains trace elements of heavy metals.

5) Aluminum Cookware Products - With some cooking products, aluminum ions may be absorbed into the foods during the cooking process.

6) Non-Regulating "Over the Counter" Eastern Medicines – It’s a fact that written in big letters on the ingredients of some of the conventional pharma products that are marketed for the western world on the internet, you will see the warning "heavy metals within permissible limits" listed on the product description or label.

7) Cosmetic Products - Read the ingredient labels!

8) Vaccinations: Some vaccinations contain a mercury-containing preservative that has been used in vaccines since the 1930's to prevent bacterial contamination in multi-dose vaccines. The single dose doesn’t carry the preservative and according to the FDA doesn’t have any bad implications on your health either! Therefore, it is advisable to choose a mercury-free vaccination as this might mean a more comfortable choice.
