Bananas, A super food you didnt know about

Bananas? Are they that good?
Well... The answer is: most certainly YES...
I decided to write a short article about bananas as this fruit has many health benefits;
protecting the stomach lining and preventing digestive diseases, promoting kidneys health,
bananas also contain fructooligosaccharide a substance which is prebiotic and which helps
other enzymes and good bacteria in the human body to work better and increase the
body's ability to absorb nutrients including calcium, bananas also provides very high
amounts of Vitamin B6 and also high amounts of Potassium both of which are involved in many
crucial body functions, as a matter of fact the list of benefits for our health from
eating bananas is so long, this fruit should easily be entering any superfoods list out there,
of course if you suffer from Diabetes type I or type II, it would be advisable to avoid
eating too many bananas and to consult a certified Doctor on the amount you are
allowed to eat, as bananas contain 23% carbohydrates by weight (without peel),
bananas also contain high quality dietary fiber which protects and promotes a better function of the digestive tract,
the amount of fiber in a single banana mounts to around 3% of it's weight.

So when do we eat a banana? do we eat it when it's green? when it's somewhere in
the middle and almost ripe? or fully ripe with black dots or black skin?
well, it most certainly depends..... because each choice has different benefits,
for example, an unripe green banana contains indigestible short chain fatty acids,
which protects the lining of the intestines and helps the cells in the intestines absorb
nutrients more efficiently, which in other words means - making the most out of your food,
on the other hand, unripe green bananas contain a lot of starch and less sugars and
are harder to digest.
now when you eat a fully ripe bananas the starch have already been
converted into sugars making the bananas easier to digest and much sweeter
and fun to eat and you still get most of the benefits that you can get from eating a
banana, choosing the level of ripeness for personal consumption is different from
individual to individual and each person should decide what fits him best by
consulting a Professional, and also by listening to his own body, bananas can be of
great help to people with digestive problems, people who has problems with absorbing
nutrients from food and in general a superfood which is advisable to use daily in
order to promote overall health including, heart, kidneys and the digestive tract health.

Last but not least: Bananas are a great energy boost because of their high carbohydrate content
they are one of an athlete's best friends as they give the body both energy and a nice amount of Magnesium
(around 30mg for an average banana) which protects and nourishes the nervous system and prevents muscle cramps.
